The short operatic track that plays when using the Battery Thing Card in Paper Mario: Color Splash. Many interpretations of the German lyrics exist on the Internet, however, I believe that as a native speaker of German, I am at least somewhat qualified to give my own. I believe the lyrics are “Höret, ihr Narren, das aufgeladene Wort”, which translates to “Hear, you fools, the charged-up word”. “Charged-up” in this context refers to electrical charge, the source word being the same word one would use for a fully-charged battery.
An issue of the Japanese Dengeki Nintendo 64 magazine contained a beta screenshot of the Page 1 level select screen from Yoshi’s Story. The same screen in the finished version is provided on the bottom for comparison.
This woman from the “Junk and My Trunk” microgame in WarioWare: Smooth Moves may be one of the least known fully-modeled human characters in the Mario franchise. It is impossible to encounter her while playing through the game’s story normally, as she only appears in Level 3 of the microgame, which can only be seen by repeatedly replaying Young Cricket’s stage. Why an asset as complex as a fully modeled human was created for such an uncommon scenario is unclear.
In Level 6-9 of Super Mario Bros. 3, it is possible to skip the entirety of the level by using a glitch to jump over the wall at the start. If Small Mario jumps towards the wall, touches it at exactly the right pixel and the A button is pressed again, he will perform another jump in mid-air and have enough height to get to the top of the wall. From there, going to the right will lead directly to the end of the level. Warning: there is an unseen Koopa Troopa on top of the wall that may kill Mario, so it is best to keep jumping to avoid touching it. (Source)
