Today, Nintendo celebrates Mario Day, due to the date’s abbreviation, MAR 10, looking like the word “Mario”. I have something special for today’s occasion as well: an audio recording narrated by me.

Please let me know whether this type of content is something you would like to see more of in the future. Thank you very much for listening.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, it is possible to freeze the falling meteors in Shiverburn Galaxy in place simply by looking upward in first-person view. Looking upward at a steep enough angle stops the movement of the meteors entirely until the angle is lowered or first-person view is exited. (Footage recorded by me in a Wii emulator.)

One of the tests performed by the SNES hardware testing program. Even though it would be more logical for the Banzai Bills to have fiery exhaust, for an unknown reason, Boos have the exhaust instead. (Footage recorded by me in a SNES emulator.)

If you have played Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, you may remember Luigi’s stories of his travels in the Waffle Kingdom. Have you ever wished to actually see his adventure unfold, rather than merely read about it? If yes, I have a comic for you.

Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass is a webcomic by Supper Mario Broth that intends to retell the story of Luigi’s voyage to the Waffle Kingdom in comic form. Extreme care is taken to reproduce the visual style of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door as closely as possible, while featuring many well-known, lesser-known and original characters.

The seven-page Prologue is already finished - start with the first page here - and updates will be posted both on the comic’s main page, marvelouscompass.tumblr.com, as well as the MarvelousLuigi Twitter account, which will also feature behind-the-scenes materials.

While this might not be the usual Supper Mario Broth content, I hope my readers will understand that this project has been in the works for many years and is very important to me. I hope to be able to deliver a comic that will do Luigi’s story justice, and I take all comments and feedback that I receive to heart.

Thank you very much.
