In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Vivian’s face is always partly covered by a hat and a lock of hair. By removing the game’s ability to load these textures, we can see what Vivian looks like underneath.
In Super Mario 64, whenever Bowser explodes after being defeated, coins fly out of the explosion. However, this is a purely visual effect, as no actual coins that can be collected appear. In early beta footage, we can see Bowser’s defeat released real coins at some point in development, so this feature seemed to have been removed after the explosion animation was created.
In Luigi’s Mansion, it is possible to see the moon in some outdoor areas of the mansion. The moon is closer than it appears to be; in fact, it’s hovering slightly above the floor of the room Luigi is occupying.
