Unlike the other characters, Candy Kong cannot be selected, and is instead overlaid with a picture of a character that, according to sources at Rare, was named “Redneck Kong” during development.

A piece of official art for Mario Party 4 contains a scene of Waluigi chasing a butterly in the background. Due to the small size of the original picture used on Nintendo’s website, it’s hard to see the details on Waluigi. However, one of the Mario Party e-cards enables us to see the artwork in a higher resolution.
