In Super Mario Galaxy 2, if you time the spin on a flipping platform so that Mario touches it as it goes up, Mario will be catapulted into the air. This can be used to skip parts of levels where these platforms appear.

The animated audience during the quiz show in Paper Mario, zoomed out. The characters are not recolored existing poses, but unique sprites found nowhere else in the game.
