In Mario Kart Wii, some flowers on the left side of the road on the Mushroom Gorge track change colors depending on whether the game is in single-player or multiplayer mode.

Top: The flowers to the top left of Mario are pink.
Bottom: The same flowers (to the top left of Mario and the immediate left of Luigi) are now orange.

This is the only instance of any decorative element changing in this manner between modes in the game.

In Level 3-8 of Yoshi’s Island, a glitch can be encountered relatively easily by accident involving the Propeller Piranha enemies unique to that level. If the player anticipates a Propeller Piranha approaching and lets Yoshi ready an egg while running at full speed, then throws the egg at the last moment before colliding with the enemy, Yoshi will be stuck indefinitely in mid-air, requiring the game to be reset. During this, the Propeller Piranha will back away slowly in the manner depicted.

In Super Mario World, the interaction of Mechakoopas with walls is glitched, allowing them to be pushed inside walls when they are changing states from stunned back to normal, which causes them to oscillate rapidly. This was possibly a result of a lack of testing due to Mechakoopas appearing mainly in the game’s final battle, which takes place in an arena with no walls, and only in two rooms of the final level outside of that. It was likely considered a low priority to test their behavior in an environment with walls.
