In Super Mario Sunshine, some objects are not reflected in the lake in Bianco Hills, while some invisible objects appear only in the reflection. This footage shows both: the red and green spiky vine does not appear in the reflection, while the brown sphere appears only there.
The brown sphere is actually the spawning point of the Goop-covered Piranha Plants that roll down the path; it appears to have been coded to be invisible at some point in development, but the programmers overlooked the reflection, which was still visible.
