In the promotional trailer for Donkey Kong Country 3 shown at E3 1996, a scene in Funky’s Rentals can be seen. Funky appears to be using his surfing animation from Donkey Kong Country 2. Looking closely, however, a difference from the original sprite can be seen: Funky’s surfboard is missing, resulting in him surfing on air. (Source)
In Donkey Kong Country 2, a glitch can recolor Diddy’s boombox and Dixie’s guitar to a golden color scheme. In Hot-Head Hop, if Squitter is left behind just before the “No Squitter” sign, the items Diddy and Dixie will produce at the goal will be colored gold. (Footage recorded by me in a SNES emulator.)
