Screen transitions in Donkey Kong Land 3 use a specific palette shifting effect that results in 3-frame flashes of afterimages.
In Donkey Kong Country 3, completing Krematoa results in the submap gaining a red tint. However, in addition to that, revisiting levels within Krematoa reveals that they all become tinted red as well.
