In the Tanked Up Trouble level in Donkey Kong Country, a special case of the “frustrated” animation occurs when a moving platform runs out of fuel while the Kongs are not standing on it. By picking up the first two fuel barrels after the stage’s midway point and ignoring the others, the moving platform will run out of fuel directly below a short piece of walkway. If Diddy stands on the right edge of the walkway as the moving platform falls, he will perform his “frustrated” animation and jump into the pit automatically, losing a life. (Footage recorded by me in a SNES emulator.)
In Donkey Kong 64, it is possible to enter a secret test room by obtaining all 40 Blueprints and then pressing A+B simultaneously while accessing Snide’s minigame menu. The room contains nothing but four pillars, a yellow Banana Balloon, and a model of Donkey Kong that is motionless save for his blinking eyes. The Donkey Kong model is not solid and can not be interacted with. Entering the darkness outside the room activates the room exit transition, but then simply loads up the room again. The only way to escape the room is to turn off the console. (Source)
Normally, in Donkey Kong Country, whenever Diddy Kong loses a bonus game, he will take off his hat and then continue to stomp on it angrily. However, in the second bonus room in Millstone Mayhem, is it possible to disrupt this animation by positioning Diddy on the right archway at the same time the bonus game is lost. Diddy will slide down the archway, throw down his hat, and proceed to stomp the ground while the hat is lying a few feet away from him.
