A Super Mario variety blog.
Screenshots, photos, sprites, gifs, scans and more from all around the world of Super Mario Bros.

In New Super Mario Bros., touching one of the rotating platforms in Level 4-Ghost House for only a few frames before falling or jumping off results in the entire level freezing. Enemies will not move, fireballs will remain in midair and block animations will display only the first frame.
In Super Mario 64 DS, entering a warp after getting a Super Mushroom will cause a graphical glitch with the characters’ faces before they fully materialize.
In Super Mario Bros. 2 or Super Mario All-Stars, defeating Wart by throwing the last vegetable into his mouth while being far enough away from him locks you out of completing the game, as the camera stops scrolling and refuses to let you into the door leading to the credits.
“Small Fire Mario” glitch from Super Mario Bros. If you hit Bowser as Super Mario while touching the axe at the same time, Mario will be Small Mario with Super Mario’s sprite. If you then pick up a Super Mushroom, Mario will be Super Mario with Small Mario’s sprite. Finally, a Fire Flower will turn him into Fire Mario with Small Mario’s sprite and Fire Mario’s palette.
Glitch in Level 2-7 of Yoshi’s Island. Hit that Hint Block with a giant egg and this might happen.
The “dead flying Mario” glitch from Super Mario 64. Go to the cannon in the corner of Shifting Sand Land with a Wing Cap and 4 or less energy units remaining, and aim as far up and left as possible out of the cannon. Mario will hit an invisible wall and lose all his energy while falling back into the cannon, but you can still shoot him out and fly around with 0 energy units. When you touch the ground, Mario will finally die.
