In the Chauncey battle in Luigi’s Mansion, a glitch can result in the ball that Chauncey summons becoming stuck in mid-air next to him. As it is necessary to shoot the ball at Chauncey to continue the battle, this can result in the battle becoming impossible to win.

The official reveal of Gooigi was in the trailer for the co-op mode in the Nintendo 3DS version of Luigi’s Mansion, published on September 13, 2018. However, Gooigi actually first appeared a month earlier, on August 8, 2018, in the reveal trailer for Simon and Richter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
The trailer features Luigi fighting enemies from the Castlevania series; for this, he uses the Poltergust G-00, a preview of it being introduced in Luigi’s Mansion 3 a year later. Inside the Poltergust G-00, a green glowing substance can be seen. This is Gooigi’s form that he takes when he is inactive; thus, Gooigi’s earliest appearance was in this trailer.

Promotional art for Luigi’s Mansion seen in the British Official Nintendo Magazine. Note the ghost on the left; in the finished version of the game, generic ghosts do not have noses and their eyes are glowing instead of having a visible iris and pupil.

Animations of an unused ghost found in the data of Luigi’s Mansion, called “Ball” internally. This ghost was seen briefly in the game’s E3 2001 trailer, and was originally supposed to harmlessly bounce around Chauncey’s room.

The main mansion theme of Luigi’s Mansion has several different forms: an instrumental one, three different variations of Luigi humming the song (high, medium and low health), a version with ghost sounds, and finally Luigi whistling the song. In-game, these are separate tracks of the same song; they are played simultaneously while all of them are muted except the active one, in order to be able to switch between the forms without having to load music into memory.
Here is how the song sounds with all its tracks active at the same time. Three Luigis are humming the melody while another is whistling.

In Luigi’s Mansion, Luigi sometimes gives wildly different descriptions of identical objects when scanning them with his Gameboy Horror depending on which room they are found in.
When scanning a sewing machine in the Butler’s Room (top), he says he has no use for it. When scanning an identical sewing machine (an object sharing the same model, including even the table) in Nana’s Room (bottom), he says it is a classic and wonders how much he could sell it for.

The final battle of Luigi’s Mansion takes place on the mansion’s roof. The door through which the roof is normally accessed is locked during the battle. However, approaching the door and pressing A reveals that there is an invisible object in front of the door that Luigi will grab and attempt to shake as though it was furniture. However, nothing happens no matter how long Luigi shakes the object.

In Luigi’s Mansion, a globe can be found on a desk near the door in the Twins’ Room, where Henry and Orville are fought. The globe depicts Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia on its visible side (top). Moving the camera behind the globe reveals that the other side is extremely dark. I have taken a screenshot of it and increased the brightness and contrast (bottom). Instead of featuring the parts of the world missing from the visible side (the Americas and the Pacific Ocean), the dark side depicts a mirrored version of the visible side, i.e. mirrored copies of Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia.
