The pizza boxes with the slogan “Since 1983″ in the Luigi’s Mansion 3 trailer are a reference to Luigi’s first video game appearance in Mario Bros.*, released 1983.
*The Mario Bros. arcade is most commonly cited as Luigi’s first appearance, but the Mario Bros. Game & Watch came out slightly earlier. Both were released in 1983.

Luigi’s Mansion contains an unused eye texture for Luigi. I have applied the texture to Luigi’s model, extracted from the game’s files, to show what it would have looked like in-game. (Model source; texture source)
In Luigi’s Mansion, Luigi remarks that he prefers the bottom bunk bed when examining a bunk bed in the Twins’ room (top image). However, in Paper Mario, Page 11 of Luigi’s diary, available only upon revisiting Mario’s house after defeating Bowser, contains a passage where Luigi wishes upon a star to be able to sleep in the top bunk bed (bottom image). The reason for this inconsistency is unknown.
By using cheat codes in Luigi’s Mansion, it is possible to move Luigi during cutscenes. If this is used to make Luigi stand directly above E. Gadd’s head, he will shiver, which is the same idle animation he assumes when in cold areas of the mansion. This happens only on top of E. Gadd. (Footage recorded by me from a GC emulator, code provided by tcrf.net.)
All of the different types of housing Luigi can receive depending on amount of money collected at the end of Luigi’s Mansion. (Source)
