During Bowser’s victory cutscene in Mario Power Tennis (top images), a red Birdo jumps towards him from offscreen. Moving the camera during this scene reveals that the Birdo is suspended in midair in a jumping pose from the moment the scene starts.
In the main menu of Mario Power Tennis, Toad is present to explain the selection options. It appears as though Toad is close to the background and roughly the same size as the icons. However, moving the viewpoint reveals that Toad is actually extremely tiny and extremely close to the camera (note Toad near the left edge of the screen in the bottom image).
In the intro to Mario Power Tennis, Toad and Toadette can be seen in the bottom left corner of the tournament board Wario and Waluigi are checking out. Unlike all other characters on the board, neither Toad nor Toadette are playable in the game, with Toadette not becoming playable until Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash 11 years later.

In Mario Power Tennis, Shy Guy’s celebration cutscene shows him tripping in front of Luigi, causing his mask to fall off. Luigi is shocked at what’s behind the mask, but the camera doesn’t show it to the player. This is what Luigi sees.
