In the Present Room in Mario Party 4, the description of Daisy’s side table warns not to peek in her journal. Zooming in reveals that her journal is actually a Japanese copy of Mario Party 2.
This unused sprite of Weird Mario can be found in the files of Super Mario Maker. There is only one difference from the normal Weird Mario standing sprite: this one has a third button on his overalls. The sprite is called “appeal”.

In Super Mario RPG, a room inside Booster Tower contains a spot behind a curtain that turns Mario into his Super Mario Bros. sprite upon entering. Removing the foreground layer, we can see that the sprite is already present from the moment the room loads, and is activated by Mario merging with it.
