In Super Mario Galaxy, it is possible to enter Sweet Sweet Galaxy without using the Launch Star that is normally required to access it. Once you talk to the Luma that activates the Launch Star, ignore it and get the Flying Mario power-up instead. Above the area with the Toads you can then find the entrance to the galaxy, which activates when Mario flies into it.
