In Super Mario Sunshine, if you go to the last mission of Bianco Hills and balance on a rope while repeatedly using the Rocket Nozzle, then get hit by a Wind Spirit, Mario will shoot up to a great height. As he falls, he will sometimes stop in midair, looking broken. Pressing the Y button will resume the fall.

The difference between fully rigged normal models and low-quality crowd models in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Normal models are made out of many layered sprites that move independently; crowd models are a single low-resolution sprite with a few frames of animation.
The only way to defeat Phanto in Super Mario Bros. 2: using a Stopwatch, then a Star. Having only a Star will simply make him bounce off of you.
