Metal Mario flying out of a Game Boy in a 1994 Japanese commercial for the Super Game Boy. Note that this actually predates Metal Mario’s first in-game appearance in Super Mario 64 in 1996, although according to interviews with Shigeru Miyamoto, Metal Mario has been planned to appear since 1991, so this may be a deliberate preview.

In Super Mario World, using Yoshi to jump to the platform with the key and keyhole in Donut Plains-1 in the manner depicted will result in the camera not scrolling upward to keep up with Mario. When the key is then inserted into the keyhole, the keyhole animation plays in the wrong position in the level.
