The South Korean designs for the Super Mario Galaxy (called Super Mario Wii in that region) and Super Paper Mario discs. Both discs feature original designs not used in any other region.
One of the lesser-known variations on Nintendo’s “Who Are You?” print ad campaign in 2004 featured Mario on top of the Berlin Wall.
In Super Mario Bros. 2, it is possible for the player to become trapped in a pit with no possibility of escape. In Level 2-2, if you completely remove all the bottom layers of the soil in the left half of the pit room, the player character will be unable to jump out, and the level can not be completed. The only options at that point are to either reset the game, or to input a hidden code by holding Up, B and A on Player 2′s controller while the game is paused, then unpausing, which will result in the player character dying.
