Blooper, the first boss of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, has a unique dizzy animation that is very rare to encounter. It is not possible to buy any items that cause the dizzy status effect on enemies at this point in the game; the only way this can be seen is if the battle randomly loads with Shy Guys in the audience and one of the Shy Guys performs an event where he runs backstage and drops a bucket on the Blooper, which has a very low chance of occurring.

In Mario Kart Wii, some flowers on the left side of the road on the Mushroom Gorge track change colors depending on whether the game is in single-player or multiplayer mode.

Top: The flowers to the top left of Mario are pink.
Bottom: The same flowers (to the top left of Mario and the immediate left of Luigi) are now orange.

This is the only instance of any decorative element changing in this manner between modes in the game.
