Top: the Twisted Mansion track in Mario Kart 8/Deluxe contains dining tables that are outside of the track and can not be seen up close during a race (note the two anti-gravity track sections to the left and right of the tables).
Bottom left: extracting the model for the tables from the game, we can see that the tableware is decorated with a pattern that resembles Boo eyes and eyebrows.

In Super Mario World, performing a Cape Spin on the frame before entering a pipe that shoots Mario out the other side will cause Mario to turn around upon being shot out of the pipe, making him fly backwards. Mario will continue facing left throughout his animations until he runs out of momentum.

Super Mario Kart poster from the French Nintendo Player magazine. While it highly resembles official artwork from the game, it is actually retraced, changing some of the line art. In addition, the cloud detail on the sky is completely original, being absent on the official artwork.

In the beginning segment of Super Mario Odyssey, Cappy lands on Mario’s head, but Mario seems to dislike it, prompting Cappy to take on the form of Mario’s regular cap instead (left). This results in Cappy’s true form not being available as an in-game hat for Mario to wear; we also never see Cappy’s true form without his eyes (as opposted to other Bonneters and Tiara, who we see in their eyeless forms).
By extracting Cappy’s model from the game, we can create a mock-up of what a wearable hat based on Cappy’s true form would look like (right).

In the Chauncey battle in Luigi’s Mansion, a glitch can result in the ball that Chauncey summons becoming stuck in mid-air next to him. As it is necessary to shoot the ball at Chauncey to continue the battle, this can result in the battle becoming impossible to win.

In the Rolling Gizmo Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy, the first few platforms can be explored without riding the Star Ball. If Mario skips the Star Ball and gets to the upright bridge (top), then uses a wall jump and spin to get on top of the bridge (bottom), a formation of blue Star Bits will be visible below. It resembles a Rupee from the Legend of Zelda series. If Mario is riding the Star Ball instead, touching the bridge will lower it, which will cover up the Star Bits and making them impossible to see.

Bottom: All of these use official artwork of Mario’s forms as a base for the figurine’s pose, except for the Shell Mario figurine, depicting Mario with the Blue Shell power-up from New Super Mario Bros. Shell Mario has never received official artwork, so to create the figurine, artwork of Mario standing from New Super Mario Bros. Wii was used and the shell added to it.

In Super Mario 64, if one of the Bullies on this large platform in Lethal Lava Land is pushed into the lava at a specific angle, instead of dying, the Bully will oscillate inside the lava as seen in the footage. This does not count as defeating the Bully, resulting in the Big Bully that would normally appear when defeating all the Bullies on this platform never spawning, requiring the course to be re-entered to retry that mission.
