In Super Mario Bros., whenever Small Mario hits a Brick Block from below, the Brick Block will rise slightly. If a Spiny walks onto the block during this animation, it will not treat the block as solid ground and instead of being hit as expected, it will fall through, killing Mario.

In Super Mario 64, picking up a Cork Box, throwing it and then catching it again results in it permanently retaining the ability to damage enemies. It can then be carried around the course and placed in the way of enemies who will die upon touching it, as shown in the footage.

In Luigi’s Mansion 3, the physics inside the Inverted Bedroom on the 11th floor are unique due to the room’s gravity gimmick. This causes some objects in the room to randomly oscillate wildly before settling in their default place, like this lampshade.
