In the selection screen of Super Smash Bros. Melee, characters are represented by artwork rather than 3D models, as they were in Super Smash Bros. However, in the game’s data, unused animations for a scrapped 3D selection screen still exist. This is Donkey Kong’s “selected” pose; due to being unfinished, his necktie’s animation does not follow his body correctly.

The hidden Gold Mini Mario song from Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move. The game features a “toy collection” where different toys can be unlocked by perfectly completing the game’s levels. In the River Survival mode of Super Mario Party, the middle path in the last section leads to a route called “Kamek’s Curse”, where Kamek appears and creates hazards in the way of the boat. One of the hazards is turbo ramps. It is possible to take one of those ramps at such an angle that the boat jumps out of the water and into the cliffs surrounding the river.
The cliffs do not have collision, which results in the boat passing through and continuing to fall into a white void indefinitely until the timer runs out, whereupon the players receive a Game Over.

Top: in Paper Mario, the Star Beam move is described as being specifically used against Bowser when he activates the Star Rod. At no point during the game is any other function of that move mentioned.
Bottom: however, it has hidden additional functionality: it removes all positive status effects from all enemies. In this footage, the two Hammer Bros. are flashing due to having received a +1 Defense buff from the Magikoopa. After performing Star Beam, the effect is removed and they are no longer flashing.

The Stone-Eye statues seen in New Super Mario Bros. U/Deluxe have a lower part consisting of a dark rectangular column that is always hidden below sand or behind walls in-game. However, in several unused levels found in the game’s data, the Stone-Eyes are positioned in such a way that the hidden part is visible. The bottom footage shows that Stone-Eyes were intended to be used even outside desert levels, as well.

Top: In the final battle of Yoshi’s Island, Giant Baby Bowser will slowly approach the screen. When he is so close to the screen that he completely covers the sky, the middle platforms of the arena will be destroyed. If the player manages to shoot an egg upward during this period in such a way that it deals the final hit to Baby Bowser, his defeat animation will play as Yoshi falls off screen.
Bottom: After the cutscene where Kamek and Baby Bowser escape, Yoshi will suddenly appear in mid-air and float to the right until he reaches the platform, whereupon the cutscene will resume playing normally.
