In Super Mario 64 DS, starting a 100 coin star collection cutscene during another cutscene will lock the camera in place permanently. (Source)
Crying Yoshis from the multiplayer mode in Super Mario 64 DS. The crying animations are unique to the multiplayer mode and can not be seen during the normal game. (Source)
In Super Mario 64 DS, it is possible to perform a glitch that results in Tall, Tall Mountain becoming flooded. To achieve this, take the owl near the start of the level and fly to the other side of the mountain, then let go in such a way that the player character falls onto the ledge near the mushrooms. From there, jump to the small mushroom with a warp on it. After warping, the level should be tinted blue and filled with invisible water. (Footage recorded by me from a DS emulator.)
The paintings inside which Mario, Luigi and Wario are held captive, from Super Mario 64 DS.
Top left: in Super Mario 64, the room containing the secret entrance to the Princess’s Secret Slide in Peach’s Castle is accessed without a loading screen directly through a door.
Top right: in Super Mario 64 DS, the room has been heavily redesigned and a loading transition has been added after going through the door.
Bottom: Viewing the Super Mario 64 DS files in a model viewer, we can see that the original room is still there in the remake, blocked off by a wall. Since both the wall and the loading zone to the redesigned room block the way, the original room is impossible to access.
In Super Mario 64 DS, entering a warp after getting a Super Mushroom will cause a graphical glitch with the characters’ faces before they fully materialize.

Top: A view of the main area of Jolly Roger Bay in Super Mario 64 from above.
Bottom: The same area in Super Mario 64 DS. Rocky terrain not present in the original was added outside the boundaries, even though it is not normally visible in-game. Curiously, this geometry is also not visible on the minimap on the bottom screen.
