In Super Mario Sunshine, it is not normally possible to view Mario’s tropical shirt from all sides, as he can only wear it in levels where FLUDD is covering his back. Here is Mario’s shirt-wearing model with his back unobstructed.

In Super Mario Sunshine, a test map from development exists that can be accessed with an Action Replay code. Among other oddities, a Noki without a shell can be found within, replying with an error message when spoken to.

In the intro to Super Mario Sunshine, when Peach, Mario and Toadsworth are watching the Isle Delfino tourism ad, Mario can be seen in a shot of Bianco Hills inside the video, wearing the FLUDD. Given the sequence of events in this game, this photo should not be possible.

Mipmapping in Super Mario Sunshine. Many textures in the game use 5 different sizes, ranging from 128x128 to 8x8 pixels, that are loaded dynamically depending on their distance from the camera and blended together. Replacing the differently sized images of the ground texture with distinct textures, we can see the transitions clearly.
