A promotional campaign for Mario Super Sluggers featured a series of short videos about each of the playable characters. Toadsworth’s video is particularly bizarre, consisting of a man in what appears to be a science classroom performing baseball hand signals while lyrics about Toadsworth are displayed as captions. The video ends with a still frame of the man and the word “FRESH” flashing. Note that the famous Konami Code (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start), used in many video games by Konami and other companies, is written on the chalkboard in the background.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the partner pathfinding algorithm sometimes results in Mario leaving his partner behind after changing elevation (such as jumping from a high platform). During this, if the partner is off-screen, that character will be stuck in the animation shown in this footage. The partner will slide back and forth without walking above Mario’s position. Moving Mario far enough away or pressing X to activate the partner’s ability will teleport the partner to Mario, ending this.

In Super Mario 64, the function determining if Mario can grab Bowser by the tail gives the player much more leeway than appears at first. If Mario passes by Bowser’s tail, then presses B anywhere near Bowser, he will grab Bowser’s tail even if he is in front of, or to the side of, Bowser.
When this is performed, Bowser is transported to be in front of Mario so that Mario can grab his tail without moving from his position at the time, which is why Bowser appears to teleport when Mario grabs him.
