In Super Mario World, if you go to Donut Secret 1 with Cape Mario, enter the bonus room and fly up, the pipes in the room will become either partially or entirely green. The amount of coloration depends on how high Mario flies up.

In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, whenever you enter or exit a menu, the Game Boy Color needs to load the necessary palettes and tilesets, which it can’t do in one frame. Because of that, there are frames during the transitions where the colors and tiles are not displaying properly.
