Beta footage of New Super Mario Bros. showing that at some point in development, the Mega Mushroom was colored the same as the Super Mushroom and required several hits to fully emerge from the block. In Super Paper Mario, two identical-looking Flipside citizens that can be found on the 1st and 2nd floor of Flipside are both named “Muffy”.
