Although Wario is almost always depicted with his mouth open and baring his teeth, there have been a few occasions where he could be seen with his mouth closed.

In Wario Land 4, two difficulty modes - Normal and Hard - can be selected from the start, with an additional Super Hard mode being unlockable. However, in the game’s data, a string of text mentions an “Intense Mode” that can not be unlocked. With the Super Hard mode already starting Wario off with 1/8 of his health in every level, one can only wonder how hard Intense Mode would have been.

In the Satellaview version of Wario’s Woods, Birdo is replaced by an unnamed human character. According to the manual, this is supposed to be the female player avatar from the Satellaview BIOS, depicted on the right.
